Most same day consignments in the UK are consolidated with other shipments on the same “route” to maximise driver time and mileage. However, should your consignment have a deadline more urgent than just “end of business delivery” then selecting this service will ensure the driver is on a “solo” or “dedicated” run and no other consignments require delivery en-route, just yours, from pickup direct to delivery.

Secure Next Day delivery is an SMA Worldwide Ltd exclusive service which provides our clients with the safety and security of a Direct Drive, Same Day delivery for urgent, critical and time sensitive consignments, without the cost implications of a dedicated Same Day booking.

This service is the perfect solution for clients who have consignments that absolutely must arrive exactly when they are needed; perfect examples are items such as Tenders, Passports, Travel or Event Tickets and so on.

The service ensures that your consignment is moved outside of the standard Hub and Spoke overnight system and ensures that the consignment stays with only one dedicated driver at any given point whilst dramatically reducing mileage costs.

It is built on 40 plus depots nationwide that are all able to accept, process and assign forward movement of consignments within the specific depot cut off times.

Costings are based on mileage from collection point to closest available depot (dependent on cut off times), plus mileage to final delivery point from closest delivery depot.

All transits are subject to standard surcharge of 25% for out of hours bookings (19.00 to 08.00) and out of area collections such as the Highlands, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man.

This produces dramatic reductions in delivery mileages and delivers to our clients an average of 52.8% on the equivalent same day movement.
